One of the most underserved segment in the jewelry industry has been in the men’s jewelry category. Jewelry has never been catered to men’s style and taste. At best, it was a piece of jewelry borrowed from a female family member that was slightly modified to barely suit a particular occasion. The best case scenario however was a colorful pearl haaram which always looked like it belonged only on a mannequin and nowhere else.

When there are separate skincare, apparels and accessories for men, it is really about time that someone started designing jewelry especially for men. For a festive occasion. In Indian culture at least, jewelry has been worn by both men and women in equal measure. Most men still wear some kind of jewelry on a daily basis (not considering the wedding ring as jewelry in this context), be it a bracelet, a kada, or a chain with a diety, or a rudraksh. In a daily setting, men actually wear more jewelry than women. Just think of any character in any real life / movie setting who is in the real estate sector.

But still, when it comes to festive or any special occasion jewelry, the market caters to ONLY women. This may propaganda or a marketing ploy but it doesn’t mean that the market for men’s jewelry does not exist. Atleast in the Indian context, there are several motifs and designs of jewelry that are made predominantly for men. Take the haaram in this post, the tiger claw motif is very popular in south India, the same way that the saafa pin, the kada and other accessories are popular in the north.

We at The Festive Store believe that it is about time that the segment of men’s jewelry is well catered to. We have been designing hand crafted pieces for this specific sector and could not be happier the way they have turned out. Our jewelry is made out of pure brass and have a very regal look about them. They have gotten nothing but compliments, and rightly so. We have some amazing artisans that we work with and we are extremely proud of the work that they do for us.

While we strongly believe that gold jewelry has no value, we are happy that these pieces are extremely affordable compared to gold, while still maintaining the same level of craftsmanship found in gold jewelry. While flashy clothes are not really something men generally like, men’s jewelry from The Festive Store will surely give the impression of understated luxury that every guy is comfortable flaunting.
